657 Area Code: Anaheim & Orange County's Newest Number

657 launched in 2008 as an overlay to 714, serving the fast-growing cities of northern Orange County.

History & Coverage

As 714's original supply of numbers ran low, 657 was introduced across the same footprint — Anaheim, Fullerton, Buena Park, and Orange — requiring ten-digit dialing throughout the region.

Why Businesses Choose 657

• Tourism and hospitality ties: as home to Disneyland and the Anaheim Convention Center, 657 carries strong hospitality and tourism relevance
• Growing suburban business base: Fullerton and Orange support a mix of retail, healthcare, and light manufacturing
• Fresh number availability: as a newer overlay, 657 offers more available number combinations than the older 714

Key Industries & Neighborhoods

Anaheim anchors tourism and convention business around Disneyland, while Fullerton and Orange support education, healthcare, and retail sectors.
